Meet Alex Rest – Production & Technical Support Specialist

As the former manager of his college baseball team, Alex Rest knows a thing or two about teamwork. As our newest employee, Alex has joined Lifelines Neuro as Production & Technical Support Specialist on the Customer Experience Team.

To support our growth, he is assisting with customer support calls, quality control checks, scheduled product maintenance, and configuring equipment for customers before it is shipped.

Alex recently graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Operation Management & Information Systems. He is no stranger to challenges. Due to coronavirus, his last memories of college will be like many other recent young graduates – online classes and canceled extra-curricular events. The baseball team he managed was unable to have a normal season.

“That’s not how I expected my experience with the team to end,” Alex lamented. As a sports lover, his typical hobbies of cheering for the Cardinals, the Blues, the Saints, or the Northern IL Huskies have been put on hold. As a people person, he’s looking forward to when he can meet with his friends or family in person again.

Ever an optimist, Alex sees the glass half-full. The pandemic gave him time to reflect and practice some 3D printing. When asked, “What motivates you to grow?” Alex replied, “I don’t want to be in a stagnant position, I like to learn…get my hands dirty…and apply what I learn.”

Alex hasn’t been on the team for long but is already diving in. As a problem solver, he will be instrumental in helping customers accomplish their goals. Being a fast learner, Alex is already mastering the Trackit F and Trackit V EEG systems. Michelle Langenhorst, Director of Customer Experience, shares “Alex has come out the gate strong and was already opening repair cases in the first week. He has recently stepped up to help manage a project by encouraging wellness checks for all equipment in the field. He is eager and brings a great level of energy to the support team.”

If it wasn’t already clear, we’re glad to have found Alex and look forward to seeing this recent graduate grow right along with us.
