Meet Ria Aliji - Clinical Trials Project Manager

Ria Aliji has deep experience in healthcare, going back to her teen years when she first worked in a hospital emergency department. And she has the credentials to prove it, with a BSN, RN, and R. EEG T. after her name. Although she recently earned her nursing degree, Ria’s passion for making a difference led her to the Lifelines Neuro Clinical Trials team where she is a project manager.

“I think of this opportunity as the ability to take what I’ve learned in nursing and EEG and apply it to research. There is a rapid evolution taking place in EEG, and it has the potential to be a giant innovation in healthcare,” says Ria. “I want to be a part of solving big problems for many patients, rather than what I could accomplish in direct patient care.”

Ria has been shadowing some of her clinical trial colleagues and is quickly getting acclimated. “I’ve been absorbing all the protocols and learning the ins and outs of using all the Lifelines Neuro products so I can flourish and contribute to the team."

Ria grew up in St. Louis and now lives in Chicago, where she previously worked as an EEG tech at the University of Chicago and for an in-home EEG service provider. When she’s not working, Ria’s world revolves around her husband and their seven-year-old son. With this past winter providing plenty of snow in Chicago, there was more than the usual outside activities due to the pandemic. “Playing in the snow has been a favorite for our whole family, and now that the weather is warmer we’ll enjoy that too,” says Ria.

We welcome Ria and look forward to utilizing her training to help patients in many ways!
