Simon Griffin named to ASET Foundation Board

Simon Griffin, Chairman & Founder of Lifelines Neuro, has been named a new member of the ASET Foundation Board of Directors. ASET, the Neurodiagnostic Society, is the premier international professional association for individuals involved in the study and recording of electrical activity in the brain and nervous system. Organized in 1959, ASET provides leadership, advocacy, education, and establishes standards and best practices to ensure quality patient care.

The ASET Foundation's scholarship program financially assists both neurodiagnostic students and professionals who attend the ASET Annual Conference. The Foundation Board of Directors is responsible for receiving, reviewing, and selecting the recipients for all Company-Sponsored Scholarships (CSS).

"Encouraging continuing education and career avocation for neurodiagnostics have long been a passion," says Griffin. "With a wife, son, and many Lifelines Neuro employees in the field, it is an honor to serve on the board." Lifelines Neuro has been actively involved in the ASET Foundation CSS by contributing financially to the program since its inception for the past ten years.

The ASET Foundation provides financial resources to neurodiagnostic professionals to enhance their knowledge, understanding, and skills in the field. Excellence in patient care is supported and advanced through educational initiatives, programs, and special projects.

A graduate of the University of Kent in the United Kingdom, Griffin holds a degree in biomedical electronics.  He gained extensive experience in sales and marketing while working at international medical device companies, including Vickers Medical, Teca Corporation, Oxford Medical, and Neuroscan, Inc.

Griffin accepted the 2017 ASET Trustees Award on behalf of Lifelines Neuro. The award was presented to Lifelines for advancing the practice art and science of neurodiagnostics, and profound impact and extraordinary commitment to the profession, the Society, and patient care.
